Ridgeside K9 Central FL’s Board and Train Program is for you! From basic obedience to problem-solving and behavior modification, we have a training program for every breed. Our board and training program is customized for each individual dog.
We focus on – leash obedience, place work, off-leash recall, and cover all aspects of livability, control, and environmental neutrality. Often behavioral issues all come down to confusion and the dog having no idea what the desired behavior is. Teaching the dog impulse control and self-capping drive and teaching the dog how to communicate is critical for long-term success.
Ridgeside K9 Central FL is owned and operated by Jay Nix. Jay is a 22-year veteran law enforcement officer. He’s worked as a K9 handler in both the patrol and investigative divisions, eventually becoming the agency head K9 trainer, where he was responsible for each K9 teams training and annual certifications. Jay is still an active duty law enforcement officer, currently serving as Special Ops Commander and Gun Dog Detection Supervisor.
